When Was Wikipedia Ever Friendly?

There's one website that I will never join, never support, and never contribute to, and that's Wikipedia. The idea may have had merit, but allowing the user generated content to end up being policed and moderated by that same group of users has resulted in an interesting form of fascism--the belief that amateurs can remove or edit the work of other amateurs.

This entire episode encapsulates exactly what is wrong with Wikipedia. Read the whole thing. It is an astounding tale of a bureaucracy gone completely mad.

A lot of great work and a lot of great pages (none of them mine) have been deleted over nothing by nothings. No thanks, man. No thanks.
